Aloha Friends,

It is official, effective February 12th, we have closed our retail store at 150 Hana Highway.

We cannot believe the outpouring of support that we received from all of you - and from many in the community that we had never even met! As hard as it is to do business on Maui - this experience has shown us that 'Aloha' is alive and well here, and we often lose sight of it when we are buried in our work.

I am taking the time to post this updated note, because so, so many of you have taken the time to express your care and concern.

So where do we go from here? In all honesty, we have been so busy packing and wrapping up, that we have had no time to just sit down and think. Will we open another retail store or just wholesale? Will we focus our energy on the visitor market or kamaaina? I really don't know yet. But I know what I am doing next week! My taxes, my laundry, reading to my kids, taking them to the beach, and maybe even a date with my husband! This last month has been a clear lesson to me - 60 hours weeks are too much. I am young (kind of : ) with a very young family, and they need me. And I need them. So for now - that's what I am doing.
